WHAT LEADERSHIP MEANS TO ME?

Leadership means to lead. There are different kinds of people in any team and an efficient leader can make those individuals an inseparable part of the entire team.

The leader I personally appreciate is Mother Teresa. She is the most admired personally in my life. Although today she is no more but her mission of service to the poorest of the poor is still alive and make the humanity proud.

She came to India from some other part of the world and made it her place of work. She opened her missionary in Kolkata to help the most deprived individual in this part of the world. Her leprosy mission was appreciated by all and sundry. She use to provide service to the person whom a normal individual use to get scared of touching in fear of getting himself of herself infection. Her orphanage became home to many new born who were found in a very miserable and filthy conditions.

With passage of time, Mother Teresa became a global icon. She was an icon of peace and love, who loved those who were in most need of it. She was even been awarded the Nobel peace prize. She was even given the status of holy saint by the pope of catholic society at that particular time.

In the summer day of 1997 when she left this world, I was suffering from fever and was bedridden. The television lying on my side telecasted the entire life history of the saintly personality which had life long lasting impact on my soft mind.

Being a Hindu spiritually and born in a Hindu family: Part I

As by birth I am Hindu so, I have heard a lot about atma, parmatma and so many devi, devtas from the very childhood. Remembering Sundara Sastri Satyamurti

Sundara Sastri Satyamurti, an Indian independence activist and leading Congress politician of Madras Presidency, was born on 19 August 1887 in Thirumayam (Pudukkottai) in present-day Tamil Nadu. Satyamurti completed his college education from the renowned Madras Christian College and later worked as a lawyer. He was attracted to the national movement from an early age and joined the Indian National Congress. He became known for his great oratory skills. In 1919, he was chosen by the Congress as its representative to Britain to protest the Rowlatt Act and the Montagu-Chelmsford reforms that were unpopular within India. Interestingly, he wrote for The Hindu when he was in London as the newspaper’s correspondent had gone on leave.
